Giving monthly makes the biggest impact and incurs fewer operational costs to get to us. Every dollar donated provides vital resources to continue our mission to fight hunger.
Cambridge Partners in Hope is an incredible community of generous, passionate, and committed donors on a mission to end hunger in the Cambridge Valley area.
Through monthly donations of all sizes, people like you show the change we can make when we stand together.

It is thanks to the generous support of our donors and volunteers that the Cambridge Food Pantry is able to offer a critical safety net in our community. By providing nutritious food and supportive services to people in need, including families with children, seniors, and people with disabilities, together we are making a positive difference in the health and well-being of our neighbors. Anything you can do to assist us would be greatly appreciated!

We have set up a pantry wish list of real-time needs of the pantry under "Cambridge Food Pantry". It is a good way to support us in our efforts to serve our community. Once an item on the list is stocked, we update the needs. These are all items that we don't often get from other sources or they are items we go through quickly.
Most of our staple foods for a nutritious diet come from the Regional Food Bank. We're hopeful to make the pantry feel more like a store than a warehouse. These items will help with our selection. Thank you in advance! If you live locally in Cambridge, buy these items at the store and drop them off at the pantry if you prefer. We have a donation bin by the front door at 59 S. Park St., Cambridge, NY.

We currently have a backpack food program at Cambridge Central School. We deliver two weekend meals to over 170 low-income children every Friday. We are in need of support to continue this important program. The poverty rate in Cambridge is 51% according to the school. This supplemental food makes all the difference in struggling families.
Checks or money orders can be made payable to "Cambridge Food Pantry". Put "Backpack" in the memo line to designate its use and mail to:

Donating food is the most direct method of supporting the Cambridge Food Pantry’s mission. A good rule of thumb for donating is: if you’d serve it, we want it. We handle all types of perishable and shelf-stable foods, but here is a short list of items we look for the most. We have a donation bin by the front door at 59 S. Park St., Cambridge, NY.
These listed items are often needed:

Some employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, sometimes even from their spouses, and retirees. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, ask your human resources department. Then request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift.
Businesses also sponsor food drives among employees. This is a great way to support the food pantry. Contact us to make arrangements.
Make a lasting impact in Cambridge by contributing to the many types of charitable opportunities we have available at the Cambridge Food Pantry.
Donating food and volunteering are critical to helping our clients on the front lines, but monetary donations are an enormous help to our staff behind the scenes. The money we collect purchases supplies, provides us with the proper equipment and covers our operational costs. It also gives our staff time and resources to build upon our mission and vision. There are numerous giving opportunities, and several of them have additional benefits to you, as well as our organization and your community.
A bequest is a gift of assets named to an individual or organization contained in a will. There are two types of bequests we accept: restricted and unrestricted. Restricted Charitable Bequests require us to use the assets given in whatever way the donor specifically requested. Unrestricted Charitable Bequests give us control over the use of the gift and allow us to fill areas of greatest need. We ask that you make unrestricted bequests or broadly define your restricted bequest, so we can maximize your contribution.
Make regular, scheduled contributions to the Cambridge Food Pantry through an automatic withdrawal at your local bank. Find an amount, decide how frequently you’d like to give, and then fill out a couple of forms at your local bank to provide the Cambridge Food Pantry with a steady source of income.
The Cambridge Fuel Fund is here to help! Money from this fund is sent directly to the recipient’s own provider whether for fuel oil, wood, kerosene, propane, electricity or wood pellets.
