Sarah loves a project and the Cambridge Food Pantry has plenty of them. The bigger the challenge, the more she likes it. From how to get a vinyl wrap off of a donated van to how to install commercial shelving, there is plenty to do. Every day is a new challenge as Executive Director.
She has lots of experience to draw from. With an interest in solving food insecurity, she worked in food recovery with farms and big box stores. Sarah helped organize logistics for deliveries to several food pantries, libraries, and schools at Comfort Food Community in Greenwich before joining the team in Cambridge. In Salem, New York, she was the Program Director at Salem Art Works designing the Teen Arts Summer Program and creating adult workshops.
She has an MFA in Visual Communication and a BS in Graphic Design. While running a magazine and working as an art director, Sarah taught graphic design for years. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her two boys with her husband and childhood sweetheart, Ralph. When she’s not at the pantry, she can be found in her blackberry bramble, kayaking, or playing a mean game of pickleball.
